(Quality→) Documentation of efective Goal Setting will include visuals representing repeated attempts to achieve success. Visuals would include classroom Data Wall and student Data Logs Both would include statements as to goal and dates of data collection. Data logs would include dates of meetings with teacher; data from meetings and; references to increasingly complex text and success with text.
(Fidelity→) Goals will reflect SMART format (Specific; Measurable; Achievable; Realistic and; contain specific Time frame); Students will be engaged in the Goal Setting process or take the lead as evidenced by students completing a goal sheet and strategies that they will be involved in to achieve their goal and assuming an active role in P/T Conferences.
(Intensity→) Goal Setting will take place at least once a quarter throughout the year in Reading (or in Cross Content areas of SS or Science – ELA/CCS) or in Math..
(Consistency→) Each teacher will engage students in goal-setting at least once each quarter and include all of the quality and fidelity measures.
Feedback (CIFQ):
(Quality→) Documentation of effective Feedback will include verbal and written documetnation - timely and data representing repeated attempts to achieve success (based on feedback experiences). Visuals would include Data Wall and Student Data Logs Data logs would include dates of meetings with teacher; data from meetings; references to increasingly complex text and success with text.
(Fidelity→) Goals will reflect SMART format (Shipley format); Students are engaged in the process; Data is referenced and tracked over time (Students Involved or taking the lead); Goals reflect appropriate level of difficulty; Feedback includes: Specific feedback for improvement; Opportunities for re-learning / practice and re-testing (e.g. – Timely).
(Intensity→) once a quarter throughout the year in Reading (or in Cross Content areas of SS or Science – ELA/CCS) or in Math.
(Consistency→) each teacher will engage students in goal-setting and feedback
